What is Ejector Sleeve & Pin
The ejector sleeve is a type of hollow ejector component, that is used for ejecting your plastic products with a core pin in injection molds. Unlike a standard ejector pin, the ejector sleeve features a hollow center structure.
If your plastic products experience misalignment, cracking, mold jamming, whitening, or piercing during the ejection process, you may choose HTX. We can provide a precision ejector sleeve for your bottle caps, connectors, medical tubing, cosmetic caps, and electronic plastic parts. As they need to use a sleeve over the pin ejection structure.

We Can Solve Ejector Sleeve Problems
- Ejector Sleeve Sticking
It is caused by poor concentricity or insufficient clearance. HTX control concentricity to ≤0.01mm, and radial clearance to 0.008–0.02mm. Combine with fine grinding (Ra ≤0.4 μm) or mirror polishing (Ra ≤0.2 μm) to ensure smooth.
- Thin-Wall Sleeve Cracking
Usually, the improper material hardness will cause cracking, for wall thickness ≤0.8 mm, HTX will recommend SKH51(HRC58-62) for the ejector sleeve and pins. And vacuum heat treatment to prevent excessive brittleness.

Technical Capability from HTX’s Ejector Sleeve Pin
We can offer custom-made ejector sleeve pins based on your drawings. We also maintain a large inventory of standard sizes to meet your specific product requirements. We will provide drawings and tolerances for our standard products for your reference. We offer flexible minimum order quantities (MOQ: 1 pc) and ensure reliable delivery for mass production. We support logo branding, and custom product tolerances can be as tight as ±0.002 mm.
We can offer below surface finish for your ejector sleeves and pins.
Excessively rough surfaces typically cause poor engagement and movement. For ejector sleeves and ejector pins, the standard offers fine grinding (Ra ≤ 0.4 μm) and mirror polishing (Ra ≤ 0.2 μm) for medical, optical, and cosmetic molds. Superfinishing (Ra ≤ 0.1 μm) is available for the mating surfaces of ejector pins.
When combined with proper clearance design and optional nitriding or DLC coatings, these surface treatment processes eliminate scratches, reduce ejection force, prevent white marks on products, and ensure smooth, consistent motion even during high-cycle production.

Materials and Heat Treatment from HTX Ejector Sleeve & Pins
HTX primarily uses SKD61 (HRC 52–58) for general-purpose molds; SKH51 (HRC 58–62) is used for wear-resistant and glass-fiber-reinforced resin applications.
These are combined with nitriding treatment to achieve a hardness of HV 800; micro ejector pins (<1 mm) undergo vacuum heat treatment.
For high-volume production, SKH51 with a coating is used, offering a service life 2–3 times longer than SKD61. If you require OEM custom sizes and high-precision ejector sleeve pins, HTX is your trusted manufacturer.
Connector Mold Project of Our Ejector Sleeve & Pins
A connector mold client from Mexico’s sleeves cracked repeatedly, because the wall thickness was below 0.8mm, we suggested that he use 0.5 mm thin-walled ejector sleeves for these miniature electronic components. The previously used sleeves, due to inappropriate material hardness, developed cracks after just 300,000 cycles of operation. After switching to vacuum heat-treated SKH51 ejector sleeves (with a hardness of HRC 58–62), the service life was significantly extended to over 1.2 million cycles—achieving a fourfold improvement in performance—with no further instances of cracking.

The Industry Applications for HTX Ejector Sleeve & Pins
As a trusted manufacturer of ejector sleeves and supplier of mold components, HTX provides customized ejector sleeve and ejector pin solutions for the medical, optical, cosmetics, automotive, and electronics industries.

In the medical field, it is widely used in syringes, catheter connectors, and diagnostic components. Poor surface finish often causes scratches or sticking during ejection. The mirror polishing (Ra ≤0.2 μm) to improve release performance for PC, PEEK, and other medical-grade resins.

For transparent lenses, light guides, and high-gloss optical components, we offer ejector sleeves with mirror-polished end faces (Ra ≤ 0.1 μm) and matching ejector pin sets. Stress-free ejection effectively prevents surface scratches.

White marks or uneven ejection often appear on glossy cosmetic parts. HTX’s fine-ground ejector sleeves provide smooth movement and a more stable ejecting force. They are widely used on high-end lipstick tubes, compact cases, and perfume bottle caps, which demand exceptional aesthetic quality.

Dashboard components, lamp covers, and glass-fiber-reinforced plastic housings require long-term continuous production. We offer nitrided or TiN-coated SKH51 ejector sleeves, which can extend mold life by 2–3 times and reduce downtime in the injection molding of automotive components.

Smartphone housings, connectors, and thin-walled electronic components require micro ejector sleeves (with wall thicknesses as thin as 0.3 mm). HTX utilizes vacuum-heat-treated SKH51 material to effectively prevent cracking while maintaining precise ejection for millions of cycles.
Depending on the wear requirements, the ejector pins inside the ejector sleeve can be made of the same or different materials. We offer 65Mn and SKD61(H13/1.2344) for general molds, and SKH51 ejector sleeves for high-wear applications. And we can also customize the ejector pins and sleeves with S136 and so on.
The wall thickness depends on the coin pin diameter, ejector force, and the product shape. It is from 0.5mm for the thickness of standard ejector sleeves, for thin-walled ejector sleeve application(less than 0.8mm), HTX recommends the vacuum-hardened SKH51 to prevent bending or cracking.
HTX maintains the concentricity between the outer and inner diameters of each ejector sleeve at ≤0.01 mm (0.0004 inches). For high-precision ejector sleeves and pins, we can customize the match components with a clearance of 0.005-0.015mm.
Service life depends on the material, heat treatment, and molding conditions. Usually the standard SKD61 ejector sleeve and pins can operate for 500,000 to 1,000,000 cycles. And 2,000,000 to 3,000,000 cycles for SKH51 material. And we recommend using high-speed steel(HSS) ejector sleeves with TIN or DLC coating for 5,000,000 cycles.
Yes, as a professional OEM ejector sleever manufacturer, we can produce head-type, stepped, straight ejector sleeves based on your drawing. Up to 600mm for the length, and any combination of the inner and outer diameters.
