From Coil Compression Spring Requirements to a Reliable Die Spring Solution in France
HTX helped a French racing simulator manufacturer find a reliable spring solution for its mechanical feedback system. After reviewing the application requirements, HTX recommended suitable die springs instead of the originally considered coil compression springs, providing stable compression performance, consistent quality, and fast delivery.

Customer Background

The customer is a French company specializing in racing simulator setups. In order to get closer to the mechanical resistance and feel of real racing, their products are designed to provide realistic mechanical resistance and driving feedback for professional and enthusiast racing simulation users.
Finding the Right Spring Performance for Simulation Applications

The customer was looking for coil compression springs for racing simulator equipment. However, the application required stable resistance, consistent compression force, and reliable long-term performance during repeated operation.
The customer sent the request for quotation to the suppliers, and he received 10 replies. But he only got one quotation from HTX. We think the reasons are as follows:
- HTX’s springs can meet the Sim Racing Simulator’s requirements.
- HTX’s mold springs are RoHS certified and made of high-quality steel.
- HTX has specialized sales representatives who will follow up on the customer’s project, providing one-on-one efficient service.
Application Evaluation and Die Spring Selection
Based on the customer’s application requirements, HTX engineers evaluated the expected compression performance and operating conditions. Instead of directly producing a customized coil compression spring, HTX identified that a suitable die spring design could provide better consistency and availability.
The selected die springs were manufactured from 50CrVA alloy steel with controlled hardness to ensure reliable elasticity and fatigue resistance.
100% Inspection of Standard Stock Springs
Although these springs were standard inventory products, HTX performed full inspection before shipment. Each spring was checked for:
- Inner diameter
- Outer diameter
- Free length
- Dimension consistency
All inspected springs met the standard requirements before delivery.
Cost-Effective International Shipping Solution

We use carton packing with a plastic bag and some sponge to avoid the crash.
After we re-calculated the weight and volume, considering the product weight and European transportation requirements, HTX helped the customer select a specialized European shipping line with competitive rates.
Successful First Order Leads to Repeat Cooperation

“Oui, si celle ci se deroule bien, il y’en auras d’autres. Effectivement, les prochaines risquent d’être plus importante en quantité.”Bonne journée.
If this order goes well, there will be more orders in the future.
“Nos produits avec vos ressort se vendent très bien, je souhaiterais voir pour commander une quantitée un peu plus importante.
Pourriez vous me faire une offre pour 200 unités. Toujour spour le meme modèle. :)”
“Très bien, merci”
Our products with your springs are selling very well, and we would like to place a larger order.
After receiving and testing the first batch of springs, the customer confirmed that the products performed well in their racing simulator applications. Based on the successful cooperation, the customer placed repeat orders and continued purchasing from HTX.
Project Results
| Challenge | HTX Solution | Result |
| Customer was searching for suitable compression springs | Evaluated application and recommended die springs | Achieved better spring consistency |
| Need for reliable mechanical performance | Selected 50CrVA alloy steel die springs | Improved operational stability |
| Small initial order requirement | Supported flexible quantity supply | Established long-term cooperation |
| International sourcing concern | Provided inspection and delivery support | Customer placed repeat orders |
Why Stock Spring Inspection Matters
1. Standard Springs Still Require Quality Control
Even standard catalog springs can affect equipment performance. Full inspection ensures consistency before delivery.
2. Material Selection Determines Spring Performance
50CrVA alloy steel provides good strength and fatigue resistance for repeated compression applications.
3. Logistics Optimization Improves Total Procurement Value
For international orders, optimizing the shipping method can significantly reduce the overall purchasing cost.
